Cameron Carpenter met with community members, students and faculty from the UCSB Media Arts and Technology program, where students of diverse artistic background integrate new media into their practices. Moderated by faculty member Joanne Kuchera-Morin, chief designer of the AlloSphere, the conversation covered Carpenter’s perspectives on the history of the organ, the role of the digital organ in contemporary musical culture, and the technology used to create and design the instrument.
